Sr. Ops Manager -Remote

Locations: Remote

Compensation: $75-80,000 plus 100% paid health care and bonus opportunities. 

Responsibilities:

Daily third-party management of FTL, LTL, Parcel shipments, and warehousing operations. 

Leadership of two operational teams to drive client retention, renewals, upsells, and client satisfaction.

Manage multiple accounts and accounts teams to develop positive working relationships with all customer touchpoints.

Work closely with all staff on day-to-day operational processes, issues, and pricing needs.

Responsible for root causes analysis and process enhancement and development.

Partner with the sales team to understand and exceed key performance metrics and customer goals.

Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes.

Prepare reporting, including analysis, KPIs, and status documents for review.

Work closely with Finance/AP/AR on billing setup, collections, and invoicing.

Provide input on new processes and workflows as needed.

Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.

Focus on maintaining best-in-class customer service levels, operational excellence, and best cost. 

Trucking, logistics, warehousing contract negotiations, partnering, and communicating with suppliers and customers.

Requirements:

3-5+ years’ experience in transportation operations leadership with a firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles.

Solid understanding of LTL networks, operational tendencies, rating, and classification. 

Dynamic personality able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences at all levels of a business

Confident communication (written and oral) skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of internal and external organizations

Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office suite of services. 

Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports.
