Carrier Procurement Manager
Our client is looking for an experienced candidate in truck brokerage to manage and support their consistent growth.
Job Type: Full-time
Job Location: Onsite, Royal Oak, MI
Compensation: $70-75,000, plus commission
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage team.
- Book loads with carriers.
- Contract static loads with carriers.
- Build long-term carrier relationships.
- Develop solid relationships with customers by providing them with excellent communication and customer service.
- Analyze client needs and constantly follow their market share in order to target potential opportunities for business growth.
- Negotiate rates with customers and carriers.
- Develop plans for retaining customers through various activities including meetings, phone calls, and social gatherings.
- Develop a strategy that will lead to successful revenue growth for our client's company.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous management/leadership experience.
- Previous carrier sales experience.
- Strong carrier and negotiation skills.
- Experience in fast-paced transportation environment.
- Self-motivated to help grow a truck brokerage division.
