Account Manager-SE Michigan

Job Description: IT Director

 Position Summary: 


$60,000-$80,000 plus bonus, based on experience. 

Onsite in Troy/Rochester Hills

Full benefits. 


The Account Manager role serves as the primary point of contact for ensuring seamless order fulfillment, maintaining timely and professional communication, ensuring accuracy in orders and invoicing, and addressing customer issues effectively. This position may require occasional remote work and availability after standard business hours to address emergent issues.


Essential Job Functions:

  1. Manage multiple customer accounts, overseeing orders from receipt to billing/invoicing and facilitating communication throughout the process.
  2. Engage in daily correspondence with customers via email, phone, or in-person interactions.
  3. Maintain data accuracy for order information within the third-party logistics (3PL) system.
  4. Coordinate communication between Operations and customers regarding orders, issues, and changes.
  5. Collaborate with Sales, Facility Management, and Operations Supervisor to ensure successful service delivery and operational efficiency.
  6. Generate and provide customer performance reports, both internally and externally, using key performance indicators (KPIs).
  7. Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance.
  8. Handle internal and external issues with professionalism and courtesy.

Other Significant Job Functions:

  1. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (and/or) 2+ years of relevant experience

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with 3PL operations is advantageous
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Hazmat shipper certification is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong team orientation
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodology

Physical Demands:

  • Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds for hazmat shipments
  • Primarily sedentary work involving computer use, phone calls, and email communication

Work Environment:

  • Office-based environment
